Exhibitions
Umberto's solo exhibits include:
"Amada Havana" at the Brescia museum in 2000;
"Visione di un isola" at the Hartman Photo Gallery in Munich (Germany 2003);
"Visions of Italy" in 2005 and "Sea" 2006, at Katonah Arts and Frame (Katonah - New York, USA).
Umberto is currently part of a collective show at Gallery 27 in London.
His work is also exhibited year around at the Capri Art's Gallery in Capri and Positano
His photos have been published in magazines such as Photo Italia & Capri Review. They illustrate the following books of well established Capri based publisher, La Conchiglia: "Footnote on Capri" by Norman Douglas (2003) & La Jeunesse d'Amour (2005) and soon to come "....." a color photo book about Capri.
For 2007, Umberto D'Aniello is also proud to announce that the prestigious international German based publisher Prestel will publish a book called "Capri", to be released in the USA, Italy and Germany. This book is exclusively made of his black and white photos of his native island commented by key Capri figure and writer Claretta Cerio. The project has been conceived and put together by German graphic artist Yvonne Meyer Lohr who also designed the best selling book "Desert of the Earth" by renowned photographer Michael Martin.
